How to Delete Your Account

Open the App
Launch the Do Nothing app on your Android device.

Sign In
Sign in to your account using Google Sign-In or your email and password. You must be signed
in to delete your account.

Navigate to Language Selection
From the Welcome screen, tap the language icon (🌐) in the top-right
corner, OR tap on your profile/menu dropdown and select "Change Language".

Find Delete Account Button
Scroll down to the bottom of the Language Selection screen. You'll see a red "Delete
Account" button with a trash icon (🗑️).

Tap Delete Account
Tap the "Delete Account" button. A confirmation dialog will appear.

Read the Warning
Carefully read the warning message. It will explain that this action is permanent and cannot
be undone. All your data will be permanently removed.

Confirm Deletion
If you're sure you want to proceed, tap the "Delete" button in the
confirmation dialog. Your account will be permanently deleted within seconds.

Account Deleted
You'll see a success message and be redirected to the sign-in screen. Your account has been
permanently deleted from our systems.
Important: This Action Cannot Be Undone
Before you delete your account, please understand the following:
- Permanent Deletion: Your account will be permanently removed from Firebase Authentication and cannot be recovered.
- No Backup: We cannot restore your account or data after deletion.
- Settings Lost: Your language preferences and app settings will be deleted.
- Downloaded Files: Audio files stored on your device will remain until you uninstall the app, but you'll lose access to your account.
- New Account Required: If you want to use Do Nothing again, you'll need to create a new account from scratch.
- Immediate Effect: Deletion happens immediately once confirmed - there is no grace period or undo option.
